There is no cure for cancer. Cancer is a complex multi-phased disease that progresses through many phases generally over a long time. Before cancer becomes well advanced it is what scientists now call pre-cancerous. A multi-disciplinary research group from stem cell scientists in the UK, Harvard Medical, Ohio State University and the Johnson Space Center in Houston have discovered that very early fast dividing precancerous cells may be vulnerable to various disruptive therapies.


How does the Bioreactor-Brassiere destroy tumors?

After 100 years of using the destructive power of radiation upon tumor and cancer cells what is needed in the art and has not been available is an apparatus for destroying dividing cells, wherein the apparatus better discriminates between dividing cells, and non-dividing cells and is capable of selectively destroying the dividing cells or organisms with substantially no effect on the non-dividing cells or organisms.

 

A major use of the present apparatus is in the treatment of tumors by selective destruction of tumor cells with substantially no effect on normal tissue cells, and thus, the apparatus is efficient at the destruction of tumor cells. The apparatus enables selective destruction of cells undergoing division in a way that is more effective and more accurate (e.g., more adaptable to be aimed at specific targets) than existing methods. Further, the present apparatus causes minimal damage, if any, to normal tissue and, thus, reduces or eliminates many side-effects associated with existing selective destruction methods, such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy. The selective destruction of dividing cells using the present apparatus does not depend on the sensitivity of the cells to chemical agents or radiation. Instead, the selective destruction of dividing cells is based on distinguishable geometrical characteristics of cells undergoing division, in comparison to non-dividing cells, regardless of the cell geometry of the type of cells being treated.

Is it not the Time to completely focus research on actual cancer prevention? Why, in god’s name must we wait for the inevitable bad news? And why is breast cancer now affecting young women in greater numbers? More than 50% of all people born after 1970 will have cancer in their life.  

In conclusion, perhaps doctors and scientists have been looking at breast cancer only in the context of the end-stages of the disease. Much encouraging research over the last years involving the phases of cancer stem cell development, over many, many years have emerged. Now our researchers clearly believe the way to stop breast cancer is to develop a plan that recognizes this reality and develop early interventional medical devices designed to actually disrupt the young, early fast-dividing tumors, and precancerous stem cells.

All cancer doctors see cancer through their own ‘lens’ or perspective. The surgeon sees a malignant tumor, which must be cut out. The pharmaceutical industry wants to treat it with deadly chemotherapy or patent some new drug designed to control the end-stages of a certain death. The only way to actually beat breast cancer is to stop it years before it actually becomes a cancer. Can that actually be possible? This is not only possible but research is ongoing in this new emerging field.
